1.General requirements
The cable shall be a service cable for continuous operation outdoors and tropical conditions(temperature rang of -1ºC to +40ºC, humidity of upto 90% and saline conditions along the coast),suitable for laying in cable ducts and in air,permissible continuous loading operating temperature shall be 70ºC and short circuit temperature of 160ºC.
Applicable Standards should comply with BS6746, BS 7870-3.20:2001 and Kenya Standard KS 04-1022
