Application: 
Aerial Bunch Cables are basically a compromise construction between Power cables and Overhead conductors. It is preferred to use of ABC cables instead of uninsulated conductors at low voltage networks. ABC cables are especially used at areas where the cost of underground networks is expensive and also for electrification of rural areas like villages. Bundles can include one or two additional conductors for public lighting and control pair. 

The so-called overhead line is relative to the cable said, is set up by the tower wire at a certain height of the transmission of electric power line.  For the overhead lines of high voltage transmission and distribution network, the ground insulation is generally air dependent. The distribution lines (except 380V below 10kV) used bare wires in the past. However, due to the complex distribution environment in urban areas, short-circuit grounding and lightning strikes often occur, resulting in reduced reliability of power supply.  Therefore, generally, overhead lines below 10kV are insulated wires (that is, wires are wrapped with insulating layers), which is called insulated overhead wires.
