8/3 Metal Clad (MC) Cable with Ground Aluminum Armored Stranded Copper Conductors

The metal-clad cable may be used as a general-purpose control cable in the mining, petroleum, pulp, paper, and chemical industries. It is also commonly used in commercial buildings and other industrial environments. It is suitable for use in direct burial applications, or on walls or beams. It may also be used as exposed or concealed wiring (dry or wet),or in ventilated, non-ventilated,or ladder-type tray cable (dry or wet).

Description of purpose

Type MC Cable is suitable for use as follows:
• Branch, feeder and service power distribution in commercial, industrial, institutional, and
multi-residential buildings.
• Power, lighting, control, and signal circuits.
• Fished or embedded in plaster.
• Concealed or exposed installations.
• Environmental air-handling spaces per NEC 300.22 (C).
• Places of Assembly per NEC 518.4 and theaters per NEC 520.5.
