Concentric XLPE Solid Aluminum Cable 16mm2 with 4X0.5mm2 Pilot Cores 600/1000V for 33kV Distribution Line

The concentric cable is used as electric service entrance from the power distribution network until the meter panel (especially where it is required to prevent "black" losses or electric power robbery), and as feeder cable from the meters panel until the panel or general distribution panel, just as it is specified in the National Electrical Code.

This type of conductor can be used in dry and wet places, directly buried or outdoors;Its maximum temperature of operation is 90 ºC and its voltage of service for all the applications is 600 V.

Applicable Standards

It is designed as IEC ,BS ,ASTM and othere standard or according to client’s requirement.

Cable Construction

1. Phase Conductor

The phase conductor shall be circular stranded annealed aluminum conductors (class 2).The phase conductor shall have a left-hand direction of lay. The raw material used for aluminum conductors must have a minimum purity of 99.5%. In both cases the requirements of Standard IEC 60228 must be complied with.

2. Insulation

The insulation of the phase conductor shall be XLPE. It shall be applied by an extrusion process and shall be spark tested

3. Concentric Layer

The neutral conductor shall be concentric and shall be manufactured from plain annealed aluminum wires. The concentric layer shall be applied with a right hand direction of lay.

4. Pilot Core

The pilot core shall be copper condcutor with LLDPE insulation.

5. Over sheath

The over sheath shall be an extruded layer of UV-LLDPE Material.
