Description:
Just as the name implies,tension insulator is a sort of insulator bearing tensile of overhead transmission line,which is generally used in line ends and tower lines required to bend.suspension insulator bearing gravity of the line itself is generally used in straight line of tower,on which there is no tensile.Mainly,the tension insulator is glass material and suspension insulator is composite silicone rubber material.

Application:
The material of insulator is porcelain,tempered glass and silicone rubber.According to the hang type,it can be divided into suspension type and column type.The suspension insulator is used in power transmission line.The suspension insulator chain bearing vertical load and wind load of wires and icing is used in straight line tower and jumper connector of tension angle tower. Besides bearing vertical load and wind load of wires and icing,the tension insulator used in tension angle tower also need to bear the tensile load along wire direction.Due to the worse ability of bearing wind load and wire imbalance tensile,the column type insulator used in power transmission line below 110KV in the past is rarely used at present.The column type insulator is generally used in substation and low voltage distribution lines.
