Xtu Cable 600V Monopolar XLPE 1/0AWG Electrical Cable Copper Single Core Low Voltage

Applications.

The copper conductors type XTU are used for power and lighting circuits in industrial and commercial facilities, they are specially suitable for outdoor facilities or directly buried, just as it is specified in the National Electrical Code. This type of conductor can be used in dry and wet places, its maximum temperature of operation is 90 ºC and its voltage of service for all the applications it is 2.000 V.

 Specifications.

The copper conductors type XTU, manufactured by HONGDA CABLE, meets the following specifications and standards:

• ASTM B-3 :Copper Annealed or Soft Wires.
• ASTM B-8 :Copper Stranded Conductors in Concentric Layers, Hard, Semi-hard or Soft.
• NEMA WC-5 :Wires and Cables Insulated with Thermoplastic Material
  (ICEA S-61-402) for Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power.

Besides all the requirements of the National Electrical Code.

Construction.

The conductors type XTU are stranded and they are built with soft temper copper, they are also insulated with an uniform layer of Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) thermoplastic material resistant to the moisture and the heat, over which it is applied a protector coating of Chloride of Polyvinyl (PVC). They are always supplied in black color and with different packaging.
