Product Description

Quadruplex overhead service drop cables are used to provide 3 phase power, usually from a pole mounted transformer to a customer service head, where the service entry cables are connected. Primarily used to transport electricity from overhead distribution systems to residential and commercial buildings. This product is suitable for AC cables below 10KV, and is mainly used for urban power grid transmission lines, such as street lighting, outdoor lighting, temporary construction services, etc.

Construction Of Duplex Service Drop Aluminum Conductor
Stranding the Conductors:
The first step in constructing duplex service drop aluminum conductor is stranding the individual conductors together. The conductors are twisted together to form a stranded cable, which is stronger and more flexible than a single solid conductor.

Insulation:
Each individual conductor in the cable is then insulated to prevent leakage and ensure safety. Insulation is usually made of materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or polyethylene (PE). And the conductor temperature of PVC insulated conductors does not exceed 75 °C, and the conductor temperature of XLPE insulated conductors does not exceed 90 °C.

Quadruplex service drop cable meets or exceeds the following ASTM specifications;

B-230 Aluminum Wire,1350-H19 for electrical Purposes.

B-231 Aluminum conductors,Concentric-Lay-Stranded.

B-232 Aluminum conductors,Concentric-Lay-Stranded,Coated Steel Reinforced(ACSR).

B-399 Concentric-Lay-Stranded,6210-T81-Aluminum

Service Drop cable meets or exceeds all applicable requirements of ICEA-S-76-474

NOTE:Designated sizes are:ACSR 6/1 diameter equivalent and AAC with equivalent resistivity per ASTM B-399 for 6201.
