Aerial Cable Several Cores with Plastic Insulation

Overhead service drop cables are used to provide 3 phase power, usually from a pole mounted transformer to a customer service head, where the service entry cables are connected. Primarily used to transport electricity from overhead distribution systems to residential and commercial buildings. This product is suitable for AC cables below 10KV, and is mainly used for urban power grid transmission lines, such as street lighting, outdoor lighting, temporary construction services, etc.

Construction
Conductor :
The first step in constructing quadruplex overhead service drop cable is stranding the individual conductors together. Neutral messengers are concentrically stranded 6201,AAC or ACSR.One conductor is manufactured with an extruded ridge for phase identification.The conductors are twisted together to form a stranded cable, which is stronger and more flexible than a single solid conductor.

Insulation:
The main function of the cable insulation layer is to insulate the conductors in the cable from the surrounding environment or from adjacent conductors. Insulation is usually made of materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE) or cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). And the conductor temperature of PVC insulated conductors does not exceed 75 °C, and the conductor temperature of XLPE insulated conductors does not exceed 90 °C.
