It is used for overhead utility applications such as street lighting, outdoor lighting, and temporary building services. Which improves the security and confidence of the electrified wire network.

1 Type: Duplex Service Drop, Triplex Service Drop, Quadruplex Service Drop

A duplex service drop
Applications: To supply 120 volt overhead service for temporary service on construction sites, street or outdoor lighting. For service at 600 volts or less at a conductor temperature of 75 maximum.

triplex service drop
Applications: To supply power from utility lines to the consumer’s outdoor head. For service at 600 volts or less (phase to phase) at a conductor temperature of 75 maximum for PE insulation or 90 maximum for XLPE insulation.

Quadruplex service drop
Applications: Used to supply three-phase power, typically from a pole-mounted transformer to the user’s service head where connection is made to the service entrance cable. For use with voltages of 600 volts or less from phase to phase and at a conductor temperature not exceeding 75 for PE-insulated conductors or 90 for XLPE-insulated conductors.

2 Construction
Phase Conductor Construction: Phase conductor is 1350-H19 aluminum alloy hard drawn, compressed concentric stranded.

Construction of neutral conductors
Cord sets are available with the following neutral conductors:
Aluminum Conductors, Clad Steel Reinforced (ACSR), Concentric Stranded
Aluminum alloy 1350-H19 drawn, concentric stranded
Aluminum alloy 6201-T81, concentric stranded

insulation material
The standard insulation on the phase conductor is black cross-linked low-density polyethylene (XLPE).
As an alternative, black linear low-density polyethylene (LDPE) insulation with a temperature rating of 75°C is available upon request.
