Overhead Neutral-supported Multiplex Conductor Description

Overhead neutral-supported multiplex conductors consist of an assembly of one, two, or three insulated phase conductors factory cabled around a neutral conductor. The neutral conductor is the supporting member. The conductors are insulated with polyethylene (PE) rated 75°C or crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) rated 90°C and are sunlight resistant

Overhead Neutral-supported Multiplex Conductor Application

Overhead neutral-supported multiplex conductors are intended for use either as a service drop cable between a power pole and the service entrance, or as a secondary distribution cable between poles. Their use is limited to circuits not exceeding 600 volts phasetophase. Duplex and triplex service drop cables are intended to deliver singlephase power from the secondary power line or polemounted transformer to the service entrance conductors at the user’s building or other structures. Quadruplex service drop cable is intended to deliver threephase power from the secondary power line or polemounted transformer to the service entrance conductors at the user’s building or other structure.

Overhead Neutral-supported Multiplex Conductor Construction

Conductor: Concentrically stranded, compressed 1350-H19 Aluminum. Duplex one phase conductor, Triplex two phase conductor, Quadruplex three phase conductors.
Insulation: Cross Linked Polyethylene (XLPE 90°C) or thermoplastic polyethylene (PE 75°C).
Neutral supporting messenger: AAC All Aluminum Conductor, AAAC All Aluminum Alloy Conductor or ACSR Aluminum conductor steel reinforced.
Options
Phase conductor in AAAC. Neutral covered. Additional conductor for Public lighting system. Overall Jacket.

Overhead Neutral-supported Multiplex Conductor Characteristics

Operating Temperature: 990°C, for XLPE insulation. 75°C, for PE insulation.
Operating Voltage: 600 V.
