Feature
1. All-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) cable is a type of optical fiber cable that is strong enough to support itself between structures without using conductive metal elements. It is used by electrical utility companies as a communications medium, installed along existing overhead transmission lines and often sharing the same support structures as the electrical conductors. ADSS is an alternative to OPGW and OPAC with lower installation cost.

2. The cables are designed to be strong enough to allow lengths of up to 700 meters to be installed between support towers. ADSS cable is designed to be lightweight and small in diameter to reduce the load on tower structures due to cable weight, wind, and ice.

3. In the design of the cable, the internal glass optical fibers are supported with no strain, to maintain low optical loss throughout the life of the cable. The cable is jacketed to prevent moisture from degrading the fibers. The jacket also protects the polymer strength elements from the effect of solar ultraviolet light.

GYFTCY Loose Tube Structure :An optical fiber loose tube is wound around the central reinforcement(usually FRP) at a certain pitch and then the inner sheath is extruded.(In small tension and small span can be omitted ), And then according to the required tensile strength around the package of suitable spun yarn, and then extruded PE or AT jacket. Cable core can be filled with ointment, but when the ADSS work in a larger span and with a larger sag of the situation, due to the resistance of the ointment is small, cable core easy to "slide" loose tube pitch is subject to change . Fixing the loose tube to the central stiffener in a suitable manner and the dry cable core can be overcome. Loose Tube structure is easy to obtain a secure fiber length, although the diameter and weight is relatively large, in the application of large span more advantage.
