Description:
As an important link fitting in power grid construction, socket tongue is mainly used to connect suspension clamps with insulators, which plays a role of connecting conductors and insulating cooperating with other accessories. By analyzing faults in transmission line,abrasion and breakage of different degrees are main reasons for power transmission faults.therefore,the strength analysis and structure improvement to power fittings are necessary.  There is no good method to monitor cracks of running power fittings at present.In order to prevent similar event, only by leave-factory check and acceptance,installation, registration check for running,the crack and abrasion could be prevent and checked.

Measures for power fitting faults:
1.Requiring factory to conduct magnetic powder inspection and tensile test before leaving factory for important lines and high voltage grade lines.
2.Requiring construction department to strength the check before installing fittings,especially fittings bearing larger construction loading in construction,which could have cracks and break. A registration check should be conducted carefully once more before putting the lines into operation.
3.For lines with fittings which corrosion and cracks have occurred,registration check should be conducted during power out.
4.For important lines operating 20 years,important cast fittings bearing larger strength should be changed in accordance with finances or making changing plans after sampling inspection for fittings.
