What is XLPE insulated power cable? 

XLPE insulated power cable has a number of advantages than paper insulted and PVC insulated cables. XLPE cable has high electric strength, mechanical strength, high-ageing resistance, environment stress resisting anti-chemical corrosion, and it is simple construction, using convenient and higher operating of long term temperature. It can be laid with no drop restriction.

XLPE cable advantages:

XLPE cable have higher long-term working temperature and greater current rating, and under the condition of the same environment, XLPE cable may be reduced size (normal cross section) 1 or 2 class in comparison with paper and PVC cable. These are not only improving the quality and properties of products, but also reduce cables’ production cost.

Steel wire armoured cable (swa armoured cable) can bear general longitudinal tensile, so it is suitable for short distance overhead or vertical installation. In foreign countries, steel wire armored cable is common used.
