The zinc oxide arrester for power transmission line is an overvoltage protector, which is small in size and light in weight, and convenient in transportation. With the good nonlinear volt ampere characteristics of zinc oxide, the current flowing through the arrester under normal working voltage is very small. When the overvoltage acts, the resistance drops sharply, and the overvoltage energy is released to achieve the protection effect. The difference between this lightning arrester and the traditional lightning arrester is that it has no discharge gap, uses the non-linear characteristics of zinc oxide to discharge and disconnect, has superior performance, strong anti pollution, good hydrophobicity, anti-aging, resistance to leakage traces and resistance to electrical erosion. It is mainly used to protect various electrical equipment (transformer, switch, capacitor, wave trap, mutual inductor, generator, electric power, power cable, etc.) in railway electrification system, power system and communication system from atmospheric overvoltage, switching overvoltage, power frequency transient overvoltage, etc. It is the basis of power system insulation coordination.
6~220 kv AC transmission and transformation lines are connected to both ends of insulators (strings) in parallel with suspended organic composite jacket oxygen oxide arrester.
