—Medium Voltage flexbile cable use in water

Application

Power supply cable for use in water e.g. for connection to dredgers, floating docks,pumps et, in applications where high mechinical streees are to be expected. A situation for use in sewage. Salt water and brackish water at water depths of up to 500m.

Construction

• Tinned Cu wires cl. 5 acc. to DIN VDE 0295, IEC 60228

• Inner semi-conductive layer: semi – conductive rubber compound

• Insulation: EPR compound with improved electrical and mechanical characteristics (DIN VDE 0207, Part 20).

• Outer semi-conductive layer: semi – conductive rubber compound.

• The main insulated cores are stranded together with the protective cores in a bundle. The protective cores are with overall      cross-sections (see the table), arranged as 3 separate cores in the interstices between the main.

• Inner rubber sheath:EPR compound type GM1b, waterproof (acc. to DIN VDE 0207, Part 21) or equivalent material.

• Anti-torsion braid

• Outer sheath: 5GM5 compound with improved mechanical characteristics (acc. to DIN VDE 0207, Part 21), colour: red.

• Outer sheath colour: red
