All Aluminum-Alloy Conductors (AAAC) can be used in Medium, High and Extra-High voltage transmission lines. AAAC offers better sag performance due to the high strength-to-weight ratio provided by the aluminum-alloy. In addition, AAAC provides a higher corrosion resistance than ACSR conductors.

All Alloy Aluminum conductor (AAAC) is a concentric stranded conductor with one or more layers of hard drawn 1350-H19 aluminum wire on the aluminum alloy core.

Depending on the size, the core wire can be single wire or stranded wire. The aluminum alloy core wire is available with A, B or C galvanizing to prevent corrosion.

Additional corrosion protection can be obtained by applying grease to the core or injecting grease into the finished conductor.
