Two and four or more split conductors are used for each phase of long-distance high-capacity ultra high voltage transmission lines.At present, two-split conductors are used in 220KV and 330KV transmission lines, and three-split and four-split conductors are used in 500KV transmission lines, and six-split and more conductors are used in ultra-high voltage transmission lines with voltage higher than 500KV.In order to maintain invariable split conductor wire spacing to meet the electrical performance, reduce the surface potential gradient and in the case of short circuit,no electromagnetic force will be generated between the wire harness causing mutual attraction and collision. the spacer is installed at a certain distance in the gear gap in case of  the instant attractive collision happened,so that he accident can be restored to the normal state after elimination.The installation of spacer can also play a certain role in restraining the oscillation of the secondary gear distance and the vibration of the breeze.
