1. Applications

ADSS fiber optic cable is also known as all-dielectric self-supporting fiber optic cable. With light weight itself and armid yarn protection, it is strong enough to support itself between poles or tower without using conductive mental elements.

2. Construction

ADSS cable is fully dielectric for use in the aerial plant. As compared to typical cables used in the aerial plant, ADSS cable is designed with its strength member and support member to be inherent to its circular cross-section. It is supported by its own inherent strength.

ADSS cable usually consists of few non-metallic strength members (main and/or peripheral) and gel-filled central tube with optic fibers, all covered in defensive outer sheath. Design and form vary according to specific needs, but main components, usually are the same.
