Product Description

At the corners of cables such as optical cables, a kind of power fittings – strain clamps are often seen. The tension clamp is used to fix the wire to bear the tension of the wire, and hang the wire to the metal fitting on the tension string or tower. It is used to fix the wire or lightning conductor on the tension insulator string of the non-linear pole tower, and it acts as an anchor. Spiral aluminum-clad steel wire has extremely strong tensile strength, no concentrated stress, and plays a role in protection and auxiliary vibration reduction for optical cables.
According to the different structures and installation conditions, the tension clamps can be roughly divided into two categories:
the first category: the tension clamps must bear all the tension of the conductor or lightning conductor, and the grip force of the clamp is not less than the rated value of the installed conductor or lightning conductor. Tensile resistance of 90, but not as a conductor. This type of clamp can also be removed after the wire is installed and used separately. Such clamps include bolt-type strain clamps and wedge-type strain clamps.
The second category: tension clamps are used as conductors in addition to bearing all the tension of conductors or lightning conductors. Therefore, once this type of wire clamp is installed, it cannot be disassembled, and it is also called a dead wire clamp. Because it is a conductor, the installation of the clamp must be carefully carried out in accordance with the relevant installation operating procedures

Features of ADSS strain clamps:
(1) The outer twisted wire is directly connected to the tower through connecting fittings such as insert rings to bear the load of the line.
(2) The inner skein protects the ADSS optical cable. The main functions are:
a. Effectively transmit the longitudinal compression force to the tension-bearing unit of the optical cable, aramid fiber, to avoid excessive stress on the outer sheath of the optical cable and damage it.
b. Transmission of axial tension.
c. Increase the contact area with the optical cable, so that the stress distribution is uniform and there is no stress concentration point.
(3) Under the premise of not exceeding the side pressure strength of the ADSS optical cable, it has a greater grip on the optical cable and can withstand greater tension.
(4) The holding force of the ADSS optical cable is not lower than 95% of the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of the optical cable, which is completely suitable for the erection of the optical cable.

Product Installation precautions

1. When installing tension clamps at high places, the bolts must be fully tightened before loosening the traction rope;
2. When installing tension clamps for wires and lightning conductors (optical cables) at high places, reliable measures must be taken to prevent wires from running out. Measures;
3. The ends of the wires cut on the tower should be lowered with ropes;
4. When installing on the ground, the anchoring of the conductors and lightning protection wires (optical cables) should be reliable, and the anchoring work should be performed by technicians.
5. The safety relief valve of the hydraulic pump shall not be adjusted arbitrarily, and the relief valve shall not be used for unloading.
